Over the past months, I’ve been experimenting with several different side hustles—some digital, some physical, and all focused on building multiple income streams. Starting this December, I’ll begin posting monthly updates on my progress: how much I earned, what worked (or didn’t), and where I decided to allocate the income.
This series will be both a personal accountability tool and a transparent behind-the-scenes look for anyone else building their own side hustle portfolio.
🔧 1. Renting Out Tools & Equipment
One of my most hands-on side hustles is renting out:
- Tools
- Cleaning equipment
- Photography gear
I use a local rental platform to list my items. This side hustle is fairly passive once everything is listed—requests come in, I hand off the item, and the platform handles most of the logistics.
Why I like it:
Low time investment, good ROI on items I already own, and steady monthly demand.
🎥 2. My YouTube Channel
I’ve also started building a YouTube channel. Growth is slow at the beginning, but it’s a long-term game. My goals this year are:
- Improve consistency
- Test new types of content
- Work toward monetization
Revenue is currently small or in early stages, but I’ll track everything as it grows.
🧩 3. Selling 3D Print Models (STL Files)
As someone who enjoys 3D design, selling STL files has become one of my favorite digital side hustles. Once a model is created and uploaded, it can generate passive income for years.
Platforms I use:
- Etsy
- Cults3D
- MyMiniFactory (optional if you want me to add it)
📚 4. Creating eBooks on Amazon Merch / KDP
I publish simple, helpful ebooks—mostly low-content or niche interest books—and sell them through Amazon’s platform.
This hustle requires creativity upfront but turns into passive income afterward.
🖥️ 5. This Website
Another important side hustle is the website you’re reading this on. I use it to document my journey, share what I’ve learned, and build authority around multiple income streams. Over time, the site can generate income through:
- Display ads
- Affiliate links
- Digital product sales
- Sponsored posts
I’ll also track how much the website earns each month as part of my income reports.
📸 6. Shutterstock & Adobe Stock Contributor
I also upload photos to Shutterstock and Adobe Stock. Whenever someone downloads one of my images, I earn a royalty. It’s a perfect blend of creativity and passive income.
Why it’s great:
- Upload once, earn for years
- Global marketplace
- Works well with photography or digital illustration skills
This will be included in my monthly income breakdown as well.
🎓 5. Udemy Courses
I also publish online courses on Udemy. It’s a competitive platform, but well-made courses can generate recurring income from students worldwide.
📅 What to Expect Starting December
Every month, I’ll share:
- How much each side hustle earned
- Total monthly profit
- Where I allocated the money (reinvestment, savings, new projects)
- What I learned that month
- Plans for the next month
This will create a transparent, honest look at what it’s really like to juggle multiple side hustles.
